New alliance of the Kreen Foundation in the field of responsible pet ownership

“Contributing to the care of animal, human and environmental health in Aysén” is the objective of the alliance between the Kreen Foundation and the NGO Global Alliance for Animals and People (GAAP), who will begin collaborative work in Puerto Aysén starting in August of this year.

One of the main environmental problems in our community is that, in general, both dogs and cats receive inadequate veterinary care. Therefore, actions that help mitigate this problem, such as access to information on responsible pet ownership, are key to contributing to the effective conservation of wildlife and the health of people.

In conjunction with the NGO GAAP, an organization with extensive experience in this area, we will implement the “Healthy Pets Education Program,” which aims to educate and raise awareness in the Puerto Aysén community about responsible pet ownership and the One Health concept, an approach that integrates the well-being of all living beings and natural ecosystems.

As part of this initiative, a series of activities will be carried out for teachers, NGOs that promote responsible pet ownership, and students, which we hope will contribute to the conservation of Aysén’s natural environment.
