Children in Puerto Aysén learn about responsible pet ownership

Boys and girls from 4th to 6th grade in Puerto Aysén participated in a series of eight workshops on responsible pet ownership and companion animals.

Responsible pet ownership was presented through videos, games, and hands-on workshops with crafts, in which the students participated with great enthusiasm.

One of the key concepts was highlighting the link between responsible pet ownership and One Health, that is, the interdependent relationship between animal health, human health, and environmental health.

The workshops, offered in partnership with The Global Alliance for Animals and People (The GAAP), were part of the Healthy Paw Prints program of the Kreen Foundation and took place between October 1st and 4th and October 21st and 24th in Puerto Aysén.

Students from the Gabriela Mistral Poet School, the Ribera Sur School, and the Santa Teresa de los Andes Bicentennial High School participated.
