World Wetlands Day

World Wetlands Day was celebrated on February 2.

To commemorate this date, we wanted to highlight the beauty of the Las Ranas wetland, located along the Condell waterfront in Puerto Aysén.

In the photograph, a great egret (Ardea alba) can be seen.

This area is a habitat for diverse species and provides multiple benefits to people, such as supplying freshwater and protecting the city from floods and rising water levels.

🌿 It is also a place for learning and connection with nature.

This is demonstrated by the images captured by photographer Fernanda Molina, who through her lens has been able to portray some of the wonderful birds that inhabit this wetland, allowing us to learn more about the wildlife of Aysén that we seek to protect.
